I am Kristi:  a thirty-something wife and mom.  I currently reside in Northern Virginia with my husband of 12 years.  We met in a German class in our sophomore year of college at Florida State (Go Noles!), and we have been together ever since.  We have one beautiful daughter “J”, who is in the second grade.  To keep things interesting, we share the house with one crazy dog.

PeetSwea is my entrepreneurial side at work. My passion for sewing has become a store where you can purchase totes, bags and other household items.  Each item that I offer is handmade in my home with quality and care.  I have a strong belief that functional can also be beautiful and fun – you can see this beauty in the fabrics that I use for my products.  I invite you to visit the PeetSwea shop on Etsy here.

Because you’re wondering:  The name PeetSwea was started by my husband long before the company.  He sometimes calls me Peet, which is his cute mix up of sweet pea.

In addition to my sewing adventures, I currently work as a project manager in IT.  I work full time in this role, which sometimes requires travel to boring and interesting places alike.  I also have a deep love for books, cooking, home and family and discuss these on the PeetSwea site.
